No-aging Apple Chutney
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1-2 red chillies, deseeded and finely chopped
- 4 eating apples, peeled, cored and cut into small chunks
- 4 tbsp cider vinegar
- 4 tbsp caster sugar
- 40 ml water
- spices (eg. chili powder and seven spice)
How to make:
Fry the onion and chillies in oil until soft. Add the spices, apple chunks, vinegar, water and sugar. Stir to combine. Cook on low heat, covered, until the apples are soft and the chutney is reduced.
Let cool and serve with sausages, cheese or meat pies.
